Special Program on Human Trafficking

  • United Church in Tallahassee 1834 Mahan Dr Tallahassee United States (map)

You are cordially invited to stay after church to welcome Robin Hassler-Thompson as our guest speaker. Robin is founder and director of STAC (Survive and Thrive Advocacy Center). UCT was an early supporter of STAC, and Robin has supported UCT at our Artisan Market with her beautiful jewelry.

Many people think human trafficking only happens in big cities, but the truth is, it’s happening everywhere, including right here in Tallahassee. To learn more and help UCT to be a part of the network of people and organizations who stand with survivors and work together to prevent human trafficking, please come to this informative program.

The program will focus on how to recognize and respond if you know or suspect sex or labor trafficking is happening. We will focus on various sectors where trafficking impacts our community, from hotels and restaurants to retail establishments and banks. This informative and interactive session will equip you with tools and resources to help prevent human trafficking and fortify our community and our world against sex and labor trafficking.
