Public education is under attack in Florida. Recent initiatives from the Florida Legislature, such as the newly expanded universal voucher program for private religious schools, has undermined public schools with constitutional implications regarding the separation of church and state.
 
Sally will share a slide presentation prepared for the League of Women Voters of Florida that has been shown around the state. You will learn the history and impact of school choice on public schools, including the good, bad, and ugly. As with many movements, what started as a noble experiment to help children in need has devolved into a money-making scheme for profiteers.
